THE COVENTRY ARSENAL

FOUNDED ON HISTORY

The Coventry Arsenal Company Ltd is a product company mass producing 155mm artillery shells for NATO and other allied countries using innovative manufacturing techniques.

Our new state of the art factory will be built in Coventry in the English West Midlands which has long been a centre of mass production in the United Kingdom in particular for high value added engineering products including tanks, aircraft, radar equipment, armoured cars and motorcycles.

The 155 mm shell has proven to be the workhorse of the Ukrainian military over the last three years.  As a direct result of the enormous number of shells fired by the Ukrainians, stocks across all NATO and forces are running perilously low.

The conventional method for making 155 mm artillery shells is based on forging technology which requires very substantial amounts of capital investment. The Coventry Arsenal production system is based on an innovative production process that uses dual use machinery to manufacture the shells bodies.

A brass driving band encircles the shell casing near the base and is protected during storage, transport, and handling by a grommet.

The fuse-well is occupied by a threaded lifting plug during transit and handling. The plug can be replaced before firing by a wide range of standard fuses.

Our 155mm ammunition is designed in accordance with NATO Joint Ballistics Memorandum of Understanding (JBMOU) principals and is qualified to STANAG 4425 requirements.

A STANAG (Standardization Agreement) in NATO refers to a document that outlines agreements between member countries to implement a specific standard. These agreements cover various technical specifications for equipment and common practices, facilitating interoperability and cooperation among NATO forces. STANAGs are a key element of NATO standardization, ensuring compatibility and enabling combined military operations.
