155mm High Explosive Shell (compliant with Stanag 4425)

Our shell is made of EN19 (AISI 4140) steel in accordance with the JMBOU and is optimised for high fragmentation and blast effects.  The body of the projectile consists of a hollow steel shell containing ‘Comp B’ RDX/TNT (60:40) high explosives.

A brass driving band encircles the shell casing near the base and is protected during storage, transport, and handling by a grommet.

The fuze-well is occupied by a threaded lifting lug for ease of handling. The lug can be replaced before firing by a wide range of standard fuses including our own designs; TCA-F01 (PD&G) & TCA-F02 (MRF)

Total Weight – 43.5kg including 11.3kg of RDX/TNT (Comp B)

Max Range – 24 to 32km (depending on gun & fuze)
