Careers at The Coventry Arsenal

The Coventry Arsenal will build Europe’s largest and most advanced 155mm ammunition factory in Coventry with additional plants in Kineton which will not only strengthen Coventry’s existing advanced manufacturing cluster and create hundreds of highly skilled, high value-add jobs but also encourage the co-location of suppliers and other manufacturers to Coventry.

Whilst recruitment has not yet begun, we are actively seeking to identify great people including production engineers, chemists, physicists, controls engineers, electronic engineers, machine tool operators and we would encourage you to send us your CV telling us about your expertise plus examples of a difficult work problem or challenge you have overcome.  We want all employees to bring a ‘Can Do’ approach to their work and again we could ask you to highlight in your covering letter instances of how your positive attitude has made a difference.

We’re aiming to eliminate corporate hierarchy and bureaucratic conventions with an open and collaborative working environment.  We will promote a safe, innovative and dynamic culture where people can grow, try new things, be encouraged to take risks without being blamed and advance within their specialisms without having to be promoted to a managerial level

Talent Pipeline

We expect recruitment to begin in phases over the next 18–24 months and as we progress we will publish specific positions on the website and on social media.  As the nature of our work will often require eligibility for UK security clearance and the ability to work on sensitive defence programmes, priority will be given to local people with deep roots in the area.

The Coventry Arsenal expects to establish apprenticeship programmes in machining, engineering, chemistry, IT, Artificial Intelligence,  propellant & explosives amongst others.

If you are interested in getting in touch, please submit your CV with a covering letter to: Alastairmellon@thecoventryarsenal.com
